11 a.m.-11:30 a.m.    Pre-registration please find the organization you are walking   for to turn in $

11:00 a.m.  Whisker Walk OPENS.
  • Check in with Paws Awhile Booth #11 for Geo-caching coordinates!
  • Stop by the Big Wooden Information shed in front of the pole barn pavilions - to check out event times/locations Purchase a t-shirt, buy or bid on raffle items – 50/50 – and more
  • PLUS Get your pooch a Yoghund ice cream sample
  • Please also check with all the different vendors and shelters/rescues for special raffles/auctions and events they are hosting at their booth. There are TO MANY to list

11:00 a.m. Flyball Demos by the Boston Stragglers - next to largest pole barn Pavilion in the center of the Rescues and Shelters
 
11:15 a.m. Blue Dog Frisbee Show – near the pond

11:30 under the small pole barn pavilion  TALK: What is Pet Hospice?  A brief (15 minute) introduction to animal hospice, what it is (and isn't), how it can help, questions and answers.

11:45 a.m. Line up for the Walk & Blessing of the Animals in front of the largest pole barn pavilion

NOON - Walk kicked off by our friends at WXLO 104.5 fm  (IF YOUR GROUP HAS A SPECIAL DOG WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OR IS SPECIAL FOR SOME REASON PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WALK!!!)

1:00 p.m. Blue Dog Frisbee show – near the pond

1:30 p.m. Flyball Demos by the Boston Stragglers - next to largest pole barn Pavilion in the center of the Rescues and Shelters

2:00 pm under the small pole barn pavilion TALK: Tips for Caring for Senior Pets.  Things we have learned over time that can help in this stage of life. 

2:15 p.m. WXLO 104.5 awards the Top 5 Winners of Top Dog Photo Contest

2:30 p.m. Raffle - 50/50 - Poop Bag entry closes

2:30 p.m. Auction / Poop Bag and Raffle winners announced at the Wooden information shed in front on the pavilions

3:00 p.m. Whisker Walk ends -Thank you for your support on behalf of the animals



                                                      ALL DAY EVENTS:

ALL DAY EVENTS Posted at the Information Booth –at the large wooden shed in front of the pavilions – at the Information Booth you can also Buy your raffle tickets / bid on a raffle items / enter the 50/50 contest all day at the Wooden Shed Information booth winners announced around 2:30 – you DO NOT have to be present to win!

VCA Animal Hospitals – center pole barn pavilion - Rabies vaccine clinic, low cost micro-chipping and ask the Vet booth

Dog Caching - Check in at BOOTH # 11 for coordinates - receive a booklet with the rules of the game and a  game card with the coordinates of the cache that you must find. Win prizes. A fun thing to do with your family (with or without your dog!)

Booth #10 Squakheag Akita Club will be doing Canine Good Citizen testing from 11 to 2 near the pond and large white tent

Custom ID Tags available for purchase at the Sterling Shelter Pavilion (largest pole barn pavilion)– $10 for one - $15 for two tags - all dogs and puppies should be properly tagged in case they get lost!

Poop bag raffle – deposit a poop bag and get a raffle ticket to win a great prize! Multiple locations throughout the property - simply look at the plot plan for locations   to deposit a poop bag for a raffle ticket  

Canine Carnival Contests for YOUR dog(s) in front of the Sterling Shelter large pole barn pavilion – Tennis Ball Fetch: buy a chance for YOUR dog to win a prize for YOU or your dog.

Face painting in the Vendor Tent - for the kids provided by Hair Obsession

Fred Levy Photography under small pole barn pavilion #3  - photographing and printing photos 5x7 prints – under small pole barn pavilion

New England Pet Hospice - under the small pole barn pavilion #3 - ALL DAY: free kids crafts and games, including make your own pinwheel, pet place mat, animal book mark, pop up pet, coloring pages, word search, crossword puzzles.  Free lollipops and balloons for all children. RAFFLE: enter to win a gift basket of all natural cleaning products, note cards, treats & other goodies.  You do not have to be present to win. TRY IT OUT: come see the many products we have for senior and special needs animals and test them out with your own pooch.  Many products will be available, including The Dogger dog stroller; the New England Pet Hospice custom fitted animal transport vehicle with memory foam bed, ramp and steps; the QuickLift Mobility Aid; and the QuickCarry Animal stretcher.

The New England Bully Breed Club Soldier Dog performance/demonstrations located in the Rescue area section 8 - every hour on the hour, and free Reiki for dogs from 10-2!  Donations welcome.

Especially for Pets booth under the large pole barn pavilion - Whisker Walk attendees are invited to visit and enter a drawing to win a $100 gift card for Especially for Pets. Winner will be announced at 2:45 15 minutes before the event ends

Check out the raffle at Dancing Paws Small Dog Rescue's table – located in the rescue shelter area section #8…. The raffle will run throughout the day, with the drawing at 2:00 p.m. Thank you for supporting us.

Workers’ Credit Union in Small Pole Barn Pavilion #3 will be holding a raffle for a 24 piece Gourmet Organic Cookie Collection from Canine Confection for free!  Stop by and Sign up

"Operation CatSNIP" booth in Section #8 rescue/shelter area of the fairgrounds Help Cats Receive needed medical treatment by Playing  a ring toss game (where you can win a prize) - or having your face painted by students from Nashoba Regional High School  -

Get your pooch a Yoghund ice cream sample at the Information Booth (wooden shed) where the raffle/information booth is located
